My Poloroid is out of commission. I bought it at Circuit City 11 1/2 months ago. It is now awaiting warranty service. They sent me the part in two days. The repair guy will be here in about 15 days. (can't do anything about this lag) However....... The repair is covered under warranty at no cost to me and the repair will also be warranted. I purchased a 3 year extended warranty at Circuit City for 149 dollars and that will kick in two weeks from now. I actually called the extended warranty people first, and they had everything scheduled, but I decided to cancel when I found out my original warranty was still in force. The extended warranty people are under contract with Circuit City. The actual repair guy told me this info when he called me to schedule. He advised that C.C might not pay them if they notice the original warranty was still in force. (But he said if it was 2 weeks from now, it would be no problem.....
Just wanted to let you know, that it is not true that there is no warranty after the 1 year warranty runs out.
I feel safe with the purchase going forward.
